A whizz bang new super floor scrubber was one of the first changes implemented by Clean Planet when it started working for South Auckland’s South Mall. The result: reducing water consumption by 40% and eliminating the use of nasty chemicals while still keeping the Mall’s floors sparkling clean. The floors at Southmall have 3.8 million feet walking over them each year, so need a high-powered clean. One that you’d expect would gobble up lots of water and use plenty of chemicals to cut through the remants of all that foot traffic. Quite the opposite in fact, Clean Planet introduced Southmall to new environmentally-friendly cutting edge floor cleaning technology, which electrically converts tap water to perform like a powerful detergent. “We’re saving up to 40% on our previous water consumption, which adds up in terms of cost reduction,” says Centre manager Alan Cameron. “We believe environmental sustainability is important. We all need to be doing something and Clean Planet provided an ideal solution,” “All cleaning standards have picked up out of sight.” |
