Today, he oversees a thriving network of forty franchisees, providing exceptional cleaning services to a diverse range of clients, including private medical practices, schools, and esteemed organisations like Hawkes Bay Regional Council and Awanui Labs. Roy’s leadership has transformed Hawkes Bay into one of the largest Clean Planet regions, setting the standard for excellence in commercial cleaning services.

Roy brings a unique blend of leadership experience to his role at Clean Planet. Originally trained as a computer programmer, Roy shifted his career path to serve the not-for-profit sector, where he spent over 20 years. His diverse roles ranged from a community cook to a house parent, fundraiser, and staff trainer, ultimately advancing to general management positions. This journey taught him invaluable lessons about leadership, teamwork, and navigating complex organisational dynamics. His commitment to values-based leadership, honed through years of managing community-focused projects, makes him an exceptional leader who understands the nuances of managing both people and processes.
